Ester`s Place in Escazù. provides accommodation with, a garden and a terrace. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Ester’s Place is located in an upscale residential neighborhood near the major highway and within 3 blocks of PriceSmart, CIMA Hospital, P.F. Chang, and a big major shopping mall— Escazu Multi-Plaza Mall. There’s a ton of coffee shops, restaurants, and specialty shops.

Hostel Casa Ridgway offers accommodation in San José. Free parking is available on site. The rooms are equipped with a shared bathroom equipped with a shower. As my 1st accommodation in Costa Rica they set the standard so high it went unmatched for the 3 weeks I stayed in the country. Although not modern, it features sizable dorms, comfortable beds, has no lockers but clothes hangers are available and valuables may be stored in a specialised room. Pretty good breakfast, decent shared kitchen with an impressive spice rack, stable wi-fi. All that, however, is just facilities. What truly makes the property stand apart are the staff and especially its manager, with his insights into local culture, support, and warmth. The fact that the building also houses a local NGO makes the place even more dynamic and provides opportunities for some interesting conversations.

Gaudys Hotel is located 8 minutes’ walk from La Sabana Metropolitan Park and 2 km from San José City Centre. Free WiFi access is available in public areas. Perfect location, closed to the center but still far enough to avoid the mess of the capital

I love that the Hostel cater to stray cats, the facility is really nice and comfortable, it’s clean , the paintings, the way the furnitures are set up.

Ana was very helpful and friendly. The room was almost empty so I really enjoyed a quiet night to rest of my travels. They have a space for sport and yoga mat, very good included breakfast. And everything was claen. I really liked the place.

In the Wind Hostel and Guesthouse is set in the heart of lively, upscale San Pedro and only 400 meters from the University of Costa Rica and the student nightlife of Calle de la Amargura. Staff were really nice, pancake for breakfast was Huge and delicious. Rooms big enough, and the common area was cute and comfy.
